The Zara overshirt I've worn every day this week

Found it while browsing online for something else entirely. The fabric weight is unreal for the price — I went with the sand colourway, my girlfriend got the olive. Neither of us has taken it off.

M&S has been quietly making very good basics this season

Went looking for something for my girlfriend. Left having bought three things for myself.

Motorcycles

Pune to Mahabaleshwar at 5am — why the early start changes everything

Done this route a dozen times. This was the first time I left before sunrise. It's a different road.

Series
Film & Series

Severance Season 2 — I was not ready

Rewatched Season 1 before starting this. That was the right call. Go in without reading anything.

Album
Music

Blonde still sounds like nothing else made after it

I come back to this album every few months. It always sounds like the first time.

Photography

Shot this on a Sunday and keep coming back to this frame

6:30am, just my phone. The light was doing something interesting. Almost went back inside for the camera.

Coffee

The cup I had this morning was genuinely something else

Ethiopian natural, aeropress, 88°C. Ten days into the bag and it finally clicked this morning.

Motorcycles · YouTube Pick

The YouTube channel that changed how I think about motorcycles

Fortnine. Ryan F9. If you ride and you haven't seen his work, stop what you're doing. Start with the helmet safety video. I'll wait.

The best meal I had was at a homestay. The host made pandi curry and rice with coconut milk. Nothing I have eaten at a proper restaurant in Coorg has come close to that.

Coorg rewards slowing down. Do not try to do too much.')">

Weekend Trip
Coorg in one long weekend — what to do and what to skip
Three days. The plantation tour, Brahmagiri, and a homestay dinner. Everything else is optional.

Why I keep coming back to Goa in February
Not December Goa. February Goa is quieter, cheaper, and completely different.

Bademiya, Mumbai — one dish worth the trip
Late night at the stall. Lamb seekh kebab. Eat standing up. No other way.

Tudor Black Bay 36 — an honest review after three months

I waited to write this. Wanted to know whether I still felt the same after the novelty wore off. I do.

Playlist
Music

A playlist for long rides — what I actually listen to

Jon Hopkins into Four Tet into Nils Frahm. Electronic with weight. Shuffle off. It earns the sequence.

Travel

Spiti in September — the case for going after everyone has left

August belongs to the crowds. September gives it back. I am going again this year.

Film
Film

Heat (1995) — watched it again last night

I had seen it four times. I had never noticed how quiet it actually is. The diner scene runs eight minutes. Nothing happens. It is the best scene in the film.

Food
Coffee & Food

Bademiya, 10pm — this is the standard for street food

Lamb seekh kebab. Street stall, not the restaurant. Fresh bread, cold chutney. Eat standing up.

Photography

Why I shoot on my phone now — and I am not apologising

The camera is for planned shoots. The phone is for everything real. Halide app, RAW, manual focus. That is the whole setup.

Film & Series · Essential List

The films I keep recommending to everyone

There Will Be Blood. No Country for Old Men. Drive. Whiplash. These are the four I have sent to someone in the last month. Here is why each one matters.
